Private property wedding, Mornington Peninsula

Josh and Emily met in 2007 when Emily was 15 & Josh had just turned 17, almost 12 years ago.  Josh and Emily instantly had a strong connection with each other which only grew stronger over time. Two years in to the relationship, Emily moved in with Josh’s family at 17, and lived in a bungalow where they saved and saved, and bought their first home in 2016. They live there with their fur baby Ryder, who makes a strong appearance during the preparation photos.

Josh proposed in front of their family Boxing Day 2017. They always wanted to get married and start a family when the time was right for us.

Josh and Emily wanted a relaxed vibe for their wedding where their guests could feel comfortable surrounded by good food, music at a sick location. That’s when they got in touch with Jess & Eleanor at Popup with Style. From there, the true magic bloomed and their vision was brought to life, and a true replication of what a day it was. Every aspect of our vision was absolutely perfected by the team at popup.

Situated at a never before seen private property in Boneo, within minutes from their home, Josh and Emily planned an intimate ceremony in the paddock with their closest family and friends. Gigirose music (Emily’s gorgeous girlfriend from primary school) set the atmosphere as guests navigated their way through the property. Their love story was shared with guests at the ceremony with lots of laughter and tears, and they also announced that they were pregnant during the ceremony! They spent about 20 minutes for portraits before heading back to their reception where they celebrated with family and friends. As the sun set, the clear marque lit up, where Emmanuel Costaras and her team then kicked off the dancefloor til the guests feet were sore.

Emily and Josh enjoyed their day, full of love and charisma. It brought them so much joy to see family and friends come together for a laid-back afternoon celebration.
